Line out in amp doubt

I want to connect the preamp section of a combo amp (Orange crush pix 35 dlx ss amp) by using the line out output into a 100 watt power amp that i've recently bought, the thing is, can i unhook the speaker from the orange without worrying about frying the power amp section? Would anything bad happen to the combo?

Solid state shouldn't mind at all

Do you plan on using the line out or effects send?

On the second amp do you plan on using the input jack ( before the preamp )
Or the effects return ( between the preamp and power amp )

Also does the second amp have a line in for like mp3 or drum machine

Thank youuu. I was planning on using the line out as the orange doesn't have an fx loop, but i've been investigating and it should be the same as if i was using the effects send output, because impedances are the same. And the second amp is just a power amp, it's designed so you can connect a pre amp before it. Mainly i do this because the orange is rated at 35 watts and the second amp is 100 watts. (I can get more volume and do it a la Jerry García style) thank you for your helpp
