line out on weber minimass

Has anyone used the line out on a weber minimass to amplify their little amp through a big one?Tell me if I got it wrong here .I figure if i have a little tube amp that has a good sound when turned up but lacks the power to be used with a band and a powerful amp with plenty of clean head room, an ampeg B25B in my case, I can attenuate or amplify my little cranked up tuber with the Weber minimass.
The minimass unlike the larger mass unit has no tone stack or volume control for it's line out. But I reckon that doesn't matter because the amp I'm going out to has volume control and tone controls.
It seems to me the combination of a little tube amp, minimass and large power amp makes for a very versitile rig. Has my dream come true or am I just silly?

The signal out is a line level signal. So as long as your premap in or effects in can handle that it should work.

x2, it could work

You'd probably not want to run it straight in to the input of an amplifier because line level is stronger than pickup / microphone level. You could run it into the Effects Return of an amp with an effects loop. You'd probably need to plug a cord into the input of the amp too, just a cord hooked to nothing.

Pickup / Microphone Level < Line Level < Speaker Level
