Lipsticks Magnet Alnico6

I've noticed that original Danelectro lipsticks use Alnico6 magnets. What's the reason of Alnico6 instead of, like, Alnico5 or Ceramic for lipsticks?

Re: Lipsticks Magnet Alnico6

Alnico 6 is by far the darkest magnet, in fact so dark that it has little application to most other styles of pickups without the right wind. An A6 is the bright wind of a lipstick pup sounds good, but an A5 or ceramic would be extremely bright and thin.

Because it's a darker magnet to balance out a pickup which is bright due to a low number of turns. I think it would be interesting to do a liptsick tube with a neo magnet instead. Although neo pickups are very bright you could reduce the size of the magnet considerably due to their magnetic strength which would allow someone to fit more turns of narrow guage wire into the case to increase resistance and output. Especially for the bridge position.
