Listen to this

Re: Listen to this

Pretty cool.

Critique - since you asked :D
The crunchy guitar sounds too compressed to me.
The clean guitar, riffs and tone, sound very cool.
The main rythm's chord pattern sounds a bit typical.
The drums are a bit disco-ish and mechanical in some places.
The bridge could be more dynamic.. maybe using some breaks.
The keyboard parts get lost in the bridge.

My advice is to follow the feel of the areas where you are playing the clean guitar.

Re: Listen to this

Wow, I really like it - I love the dynamics of the song from heavy to light.
My only suggestions would be to change the keyboard sound in the heavy parts to something more powerful - the keyboard sound youre now using in those parts seems to take away from the vibe of those sections - you may even want to double that keyboard line with a guitar harmony. Just a few thoughts but I really like it - would love to hear some vocals to it.

hey man..VERY cool tune...the rythm tone was a bit on the shrill side for me, but I have crummy speakers here at work so that could be part of the problem.but I loved the slower part..sounds like you backed off the volume and let the delay come through a bit more? I love doing that =D

got a couple questions for you..

what exactly are you using to record? I mean, equipment, recording setup, drums, keys, etc, etc...computer software..etc...and how long does it take you to get that all down?

right now I have guitar tracks 2.0. I was thinking of upgrading to guitartracks pro v. 3.0 when that comes out. Has drum loops and whatnot in it and I think it's only around $50 if you're already registered (being a cakewalk owner, I am)...I like guitar tracks but it's a little on the limited side unless you have outside drum software or a drum machine..

Re: Listen to this

what i use to recored:

Sb plat.2 sound card
for the track recording i use acid pro 3.0
to record the guitar i use a Line 6 guitar port
and for drums, bass and samples, or anything else you
here its FLstudio4.0 (fruity loops)

after the song is written and arranged i start by making my drum bass and samples track (all in one) on FLstudio. starting by scratch that takes about 2 to 3 days at about 2 hours a day, than i load the track into acid pro3.0, i record the guitar tracks, mix all the music, make it all one file, remaster the finished track.takes me about a week to do it all,

Re: Listen to this

I liked the way the tune went from striaght rhythm to the shuffle grooves. Good job.
