Little 59 - do I need to change pots?

I dropped a Little 59 (strat bridge) into my Rogue lap steel replacing a chinese single coil that was there. Now I'm wondering if I should also change out the pots to 500k?

If you do, you’ll get a brighter sound if your pots are now 250k.

Is that what you want?

The little 59 was built around 250k pots, that's how I use it.

The Little 59 was desigend to drop right into a Strat with 250k pots, so if that is what you have, you will be fine. If you find that the tone is too dull, you can always increase the pot size later.
