Little 59 tele bridge + 59 neck bucker a good match?

I've got an alder body Squier Classic Vibe tele I'm going to make into my humbucking tele. I'm just looking to get a good, versatile pair of PAF-esque humbuckers in there. No need to retain tele twang or anything, I've got other teles for that. :)

I have a nickel-covered 59 neck pickup already (the CV teles are routed for neck humbuckers under the pickguard), and I was going to order the little 59 for the tele bridge pickup. I do not want the neck to overpower the bridge output but want them to be evenly matched. Will this combo work? Or should I be looking at something else with lower output at the neck? Having a hard time getting a bead on what to expect from the little 59 - the SD set has it paired with a seemingly pretty mild output neck tele pickup. Advice?

Also while I have your ear, any thoughts about coil splitting either pickup or any other neat wiring options? I'm open to using push/pulls. I don't often use my middle position - any cool stratish 2&4 coil wiring possibilities to be had with this combo?

Thanks guys. Your collective experience-based wisdom is appreciated! I love what new pickups can do to revitalize a guitar, but shopping and deciding feels like such a guessing game.

Doubt it. I have a Single/Hum Tele with a Hot Lead Stack and an A2Pro neck and they barely match....

This should work. Balance them with pickup height. You will be able to split the bridge pickup...and the neck pickup, if it is a 4 wire '59. You can do this with a push/pull pot.

Thanks guys! I also happen to have the Custom/59 hybrid bridge pickup laying about unused - I imagine that would be an even worse choice as a neck humbucker to balance against the little 59 tele bridge?

the lil 59 has stronger output than the hot stack and if you keep the 59n low, you should be able to match the output without too much trouble. i doubt the lil 59 could keep up with the hybrid though

You might have some volume-balance problems. But hey, if you have it, it is worth a try to see what it sounds like.
