Architect, It's the old style ABR1 with pins directly into the body. I believe I can just replace the pins. I'm gonna take it apart and see :)

Jumpskirt, it no more reflects on the quality of the guitar than a crappy set of tires reflects on the quality of your entire car. This is a rare but not unheard of occurence with this style bridge and this is the reason that Gibson eventually went with the Nashville bridge with threaded inserts. Usually though the wood gives..in this case that doesn't seem to be the issue...just the pins themselves.:bigthumb:

Erik, Thanks Bro! :bigthumb:

Amir...no more model packs other than what came loaded into it :)

Yeah, this isn't that uncommon of an occurence on the older bridges actually. I've seen many Les Pauls with bent pins.....the pins don't usually break though. A softer or defective piece of metal must have been use or something. Put a good one on there and it should be fine IMO.

Re: Loads of Gear for sale

Thanks Ranalli..trying to locate a set of pins now! It's Gotoh hardware so I'm assuming it's just my luck

Jump, no prob....I've never actually had it happen to me..but it does happen. Just glad it looks as though it's the pins themselves and not the wood giving way.

and a bumpy for all the gear that does work fine :grumble: ;) :bigthumb:

Ah ok. In that case I'm gonna wait till the weekend to check gc and see how much my friend's employee discount helps out. If it's still more than a 50$ difference I'll pm ya and we'll work out details.
