Locking tuners

Anthem

I'm trying to figure out which locking tuners to order for my Yamaha Pacifica. It's the H/S/S bare bones model. I can't stand the tuners on it, they have got to be replaced. I've seen Sperzel, Schaller and Fender. Which ones would fit my guitar? Also how much do most places charge to install tuners? I'm not really experienced in that area, but I'd like to know what to expect.

Re: Locking tuners

Not sure on the Yamaha, but I have a Yamaha neck that John John put standard Fender Tuners on. If they fit my Yamaha, they should fit yours. In that case, I would buy locking Fender/Schaller tuners. Great tuners. And you can install them yourself....it takes about 20 minutes and it's super easy. We can talk you through it.

Re: Locking tuners

Is yours a Pacifica neck? The headstock kinda resembles a G&L. I'm so ready to get rid of these sh*tty things.

Re: Locking tuners

Mine is an older strat copy from the 80's. I'm just guessing, but I would think that the tuners would be standard 10mm. If you buy a set locally and they don't fit, you can always take them back.

You'll really like the upgrade to locking tuners....and will never go back.

I have them on my bass (came as standard) and man it makes restringing so much easier...
