LockWire Guitars S/N LWG0002P is up for grabs!

PRICE DROP

Hey all.

I have made the difficult decision to sell this guitar. I was planning to keep it, but I'd like to fund a couple more builds and new line of pedals.

I'm asking $1000.00 shipped to anywhere in North America. I'm basically allowing for $100 to ship as this beast is rather heavy. As I am a registered business, Applicable taxes are extra for Canadians. <-- LockWire guitars will PAY THE TAX (added 09/15/2010)

I will include a brand new Hardshell case, tool set, a Limited Lifetime Warranty and my heartfelt thanks for helping me go further with my business. :)

I would be happy to swap the pickup for any of the following if so desired: DiMarzio Steve's Special, PAF or Super Distortion or a Seymour Duncan Alternative 8.

Specs are as follows:

Purpleheart Wood body. This is HARD stuff. After this project, I have to throw away 6 router bits and have the blades in the planer and jointer sharpened. The cutting of the body resulted in broken band-saw blades and so much clogged/overheated sandpaper. I broke 3 drill bits and a screw assembling it too. I'm not going to be in a hurry to use this stuff as a full body again. It looks awesome though...

Maple/Rosewood neck, 24 Jumbo frets. This was finally contracted out after 2 failed attempts. It helped to find a neck builder willing to build to my specs. The neck was provided as a paddle, and I shaped the headstock.

Hardware used is Gotoh machine heads, Schaller Strap Locks and a Made in Germany Original Floyd Rose including a Schaller Sure Claw (Not pictured, it came later). The Pickup is a DiMarzio Mega Drive that I special ordered from the DiMarzio "Custom Shop".

The Pics below are in rough chronological order. Enjoy!

How many Trading Post threads do you actually get to see the guitar being built? Sweet!

I can vouch for the quality of pinto's builds, including this particular guitar. At this price you're getting a lot more than your money's worth.

Thanks for the props Matt. There was much care and attention put into building this guitar, I'm happy to see that it was noticeable!

Just a note to any potentially interested parties, part of the funds from the sale of this guitar will go toward Matt's research and development of a line of LockWire pedals, including continued production of the Raptor. So if any of you missed out on the getting one, buying the guitar can help you get one!!! :D

I forgot to mention that I will also include a Certificate of Authenticity indicating that it is indeed a Prototype and the second LockWire Guitar made.

That's a beautiful guitar . . . I just can't get along without fretboard inlays and a neck pickup.

I can't do anything about the fretboard inlays, but I can add a neck pickup...

The neck has side markers. You actually look at the face of the fretboard while playing? I'd get a kink in my neck for sure... :)
