Long Island Blues Warehouse!

Re: Long Island Blues Warehouse!

WOW! That's a blast from the past for me. Scott Ross is a Monster! I've saw him play a gazillion times back in the 80's and 90's. I never took lesions from him (Formally) But as a young Guitarist I went to school watching him play. That video only scrapes the tip of the iceberg of what he is capable of doing with a guitar. In 1996 My Band had the daunting task of following 'The Scott Ross Band' at a bennifit show at Mr. Beery's. At the end of my set Scott came up to me and shook my hand and said ' Hey man, Great job' He's a real cool guy.:bigok:

Re: Long Island Blues Warehouse!

Yeah, I actually played a few GIGS with him. He is a real easy going guy.......until he plugs in. He used to use this old Guild amp that had legs on it like an old TV set from the 50's....it was pretty cool, it had some weird configuration of tubes too. It was a 2 channel amp and he had it setup where each channel went to one speaker in a musicman 2 12" cabinet. His setup was always pretty stripped down. Amp, Delay, chorus, wah, guitar! This band doesn't GIG as much, but hopefull now that things are beginning to warm up a little they will get some gigs. He plays over in the Freeport area a lot.
