long mounting legs

I always buy SDs with regular (short) mounting legs. However, I got an Ibanez S that has that tru-duo system, or whatever it's called. these things are HUGE. Pretty sure I'd need longer mounting legs and maybe a block to cover the empty space. Does anyone know if I can get a 59/custom and a 59neck with long legs? Or do I need to custom order them from the custom shop?

Re: long mounting legs

Longer legs go deeper into the guitar....thats all. The pickup is not deeper itself. On the tru-duo, how much of the sides are visible now???

The long leg humbuckers actually are the 'regular' ones technically speaking, as that is how PAF's were. So a short leg 59 (as a PAF styled pickup) is the 'non standard' version. Not that it really matters anyhow.

If you don't have traditional trim rings on that guitar (or don't want to put them on), you'll definitely need the longer legged baseplates. Any Duncan dealer can order them as a "Shop Floor Custom" for minimal additional cost, if any.

The '59 neck should come standard with a long-legged baseplate. However, I believe the 59/Custom comes standard with the shorter legs.

Also, you may have to trim or sand down the corners of the square mounting tabs slightly to fit in the Ibanez.
