Firstly hi all, sorry ive been gone for ages. Been a month in university and going to the library in evenings when computers are available is the only time when ive been able to go online. Missed you all, hope all has been going on well here.
Well, practise in my lil room had been with my POD and headphones, until i walked away with the guitar still plugged in, dragging the POD from my desk and onto the floor. POD ok, headphone jack, broken. Have not replaced headphones and have been playing through my Stereo. That doesnt sound too good and when loud it doesnt sound too good for the general wellbeing of my speakers. I got my 50watt Marshall MG series, bit bulky to take on the underground through london, then on the train to Birmingham. Only feasible way of having it is by having my Dad drive it up.
Ive considered getting a practise amp, today i played a Roland Cube-15, was pretty good. Smaller, better to carry around which i would probably do more of now im getting to know other people who i may start a band with. I will probably bring the marshall up here one day since it can do gigs (usually with mic'ing up), do you reckon its worth forking out for a practise amp. Im just trying to weigh up whether its worth it, easier to take from flat to flat, less bulky.
Now ive written it down, the idea of getting a practise amp does seem more sensible. Anyways what do you all think? Also what others should i consider? Most of the time i would probably be running my POD in front of it so good transparentish cleans would be good.
Thanks,
Jeff
