Hi,
I've been looking around this forum and now have questions...forgive me if it's been answered already since this is my first post..
I have a 93 Jackson Dinky XL (basswood body) that I've completely redone. I've installed 500k CTS pots, orange drop .047 cap, switchcraft jack, and CRL 5 way, and 37mm brass block. I have an SSH configuration with a Lynch Screamin' Demon bridge pickup, the rest are stock.
The Demon gets me that 80's hair metal but is there another pickup that will get me those Zakk Wylde low G pinch harmonics better? The harmonics right now are pretty good...but I want to get those pinch harmonics and EVH tap harmonics clearer without losing the 80's sound.
I've read about putting an alnico 2 in a JB but can't find instructions....is this a pickup I should consider?
