Hello pickups lovers !
This time, I will need your amp knowledge.
I?m starting a new band and we?ll mainly play in small clubs, cafés,?
So I need a small wattage combo for this, my Bluesbraker RI is taking too much place and is freakin? heavy and my Bassman RI is too loud. I?m seeking a small portable amp that provides power tube breakup at low volume. So I was wondering if a 15-20 watt tube amp could do the trick. And geeze ! The choice is so huge!
Please help me to make a good choice !
First, it must be a really nice amp, I want to treat myself right this time. Second, it must have those features :
15-20 watts
1x12 speaker
one-channel is OK but must provide a warm clean sound (not Twin-like) and a smooooooooooth OD when pushed
lush and deep tube reverb
good tremolo
sounds great with LP and Tele
takes pedal (OD-Fuzz, mainly)
Objective is to play covers of the Taylor-era Stones (Mick Taylor is one of my all time favorite), early Fleetwood Mac, Bluesbreakers and Cream. NO metal, heavy rock, just old classic blues rock.
Thanks for reading
Happy New Year!
Nick
