looking for a small gig amp?

Hello pickups lovers !

This time, I will need your amp knowledge.
I?m starting a new band and we?ll mainly play in small clubs, cafés,?
So I need a small wattage combo for this, my Bluesbraker RI is taking too much place and is freakin? heavy and my Bassman RI is too loud. I?m seeking a small portable amp that provides power tube breakup at low volume. So I was wondering if a 15-20 watt tube amp could do the trick. And geeze ! The choice is so huge!
Please help me to make a good choice !
First, it must be a really nice amp, I want to treat myself right this time. Second, it must have those features :
15-20 watts
1x12 speaker
one-channel is OK but must provide a warm clean sound (not Twin-like) and a smooooooooooth OD when pushed
lush and deep tube reverb
good tremolo
sounds great with LP and Tele
takes pedal (OD-Fuzz, mainly)
Objective is to play covers of the Taylor-era Stones (Mick Taylor is one of my all time favorite), early Fleetwood Mac, Bluesbreakers and Cream. NO metal, heavy rock, just old classic blues rock.

Thanks for reading

Happy New Year!

Nick

Re: looking for a small gig amp?

I really like my Fender Deluxe Reverb for what you described. 22 watts of all tube power driving a 12" speaker, IMO it works fine for small, medium, and even large venues. I use mine for both my Les Paul and my Strat guitars playing blues and classic rock. Try one before you decide.
Good luck!

Fender Blues Jr. 15 watts all tube, and sounds SWEEET. ($100 cheaper than classic 30 and every bit as good if not better)

+1 Bob-O !!!!!!!!

I'd also give the Blues Jr. a try.
It's an awfully good amp..and would probably suit your needs just fine.

Re: looking for a small gig amp?

Since you said you needed a tremelo...Peavey Delta Blues. Very nice clean and OD sounds. Decent Reverb. 30 watts.

Re: looking for a small gig amp?

You might try the Mesa subway series. They're really light, and have a much bigger sound than most of the other amps in that price/size range. I think it would be very easy for you to get your sound on the Subway Blues, if you are already used to the Bassman,& Bassbreaker.
