my old 1990' Japan made Charvel H/S/S
I'm using 2 500k pots & 5-way
i don't want the tone control on the bridge pickup
& for the 2 single coils i was going to use a 500k resistor in series
for the single coils to tame the treble or a .1uf cap .......................I probably know how to do this (I just cant think straight at the moment )

Getting a Master Tone pot to work on just two out of three pickups involves borrowing an idea from the Fender Am Std Stratocaster circuit. On the "tone controls" pole of your selector switch, run a jumper connection between the two terminals nearest the "wiper" contact of that pole. Then, run a wire from the jumper to the input of the Master Tone pot.

NOTE #1 - The Master Tone control, wired this way, will act on switch selections 5, 4, 3 and 2, leaving just the bridge PU unaffected.

NOTE #2 - On any two-pole, five-way selector switch, this tone control collector wiring eliminates the possibility of auto coil splitting of the HB when combined with the central single coil pickup.

My usual compromise solution on HSS guitars is an A300k pot. (Just a suggestion.)
