Looking for an Acoustic

I am wanting to simplify a bit, get rid of some gear, and maybe put a few dollars in my pocket so I would like to get an acoustic. If someone has one they are interested in letting go hit me up.

Nylon, steel string, 12 string, reso let me know.

I would prefer to do a trade of some kind as I am low on money.

Here is what I have to offer

Thanks,
Eric

Nice Explorer :)

I have a Takamine EN-12C that I don't use and that might be on the block.

Haha... Yeah it is. I just never play it. It took forever to get the pickups in and it been sitting in the case ever since.

That takamine is nice. Solid top?

Free bump with data.

I'm really not sure yet whether I want to sell/trade it, but alas this is my "I should mark the case so that I know when I played it last".

Re: Looking for an Acoustic

I've got a washburn 12 string, but it's just acoustic (no electric pickups). I have some other stuff to trade (for the explorer), but I don't think youd be interested. At any rate I have:
- Snakeskin colored pickguard (not actual snakeskin) with a cr-vr-hr setup that I can wire any way you want, it has a standard 5-way and I have a few push-pull pots that I can put in
- Red epiphone guitar with an aftermarket strat neck and two humbuckers: Neck is a custom wind, it would sound closest to a cross between an AIIpro and Seth with none of the PG's agression. It's very complex and dynamic, sweet and full, and very very well defined for a neck bucker. Bridge is a Dimarzio 36th anniversary model bridge (upper 8K range w/ A5) - It's more aggressive than the neck pickup, but it's not as full or sweet. VERY even sounding, with the low mids being much more prominent than in the neck pickup. Great for slide on the lower strings, very lean paf sound.

So, that's about it, if you're willing to trade that explorer for two guitars and a custom strat pickguard, let me know.
Edit: by the way, the pickups in the epiphone are actually more valuable than the guitar itself - I'm using the guitar to hold/test them until I can find a luthier/tech who will work on a full hollowbody electric guitar. The 12 string is in good condition, with a few marks here and there, I'll post pictures if you're interested - as far as sound is concerned get a tusq nut/bridge and forget about it, with the plastic nut and saddle, this guitar sounds like church bells. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't much - probably about $400, and it sounds like it cost $1000. If you're interested, I can try recording a sample with it, but I don't know how good the built in microphone is on my laptop.

I might be interested in the Washburn + cash in a trade. I don't really want to pickup two more guitars. I am trying to greatly down size my stuff.

Which Washburn is it and what are the specs?

Re: Looking for an Acoustic

It's a washburn D46S12 Dreadnought, 12-string, from their southwestern series. There are reviews on harmony central if you're interested. I also just saw that you have a mission amp that you haven't yet assembled, is that the head only, electronics only, or combo minus speakers? I have a cab, but it's not one I can build an amp into, so that's important for trade considerations.

edit: here are the specs for the 12-string
12 string
Solid spruce top
Quilted ash back and sides
Rosewood butterfly bridge w/compensated saddle
Rosewood fingerboard with Hopi inlays
Nut width: 1.89 inches (48mm)
20 frets
Hopi binding
Washburn crown headstock
Exclusive Grover 18:1 gear ratio tuners
List Price: $899.90
Case: GC70 Included

Re: Looking for an Acoustic

It sounds interesting Ill have to think about it.

I have to the electronics, cab, and speaker for it.

Ok, I can compenste you accordingly, depending on the trade. Also, what kind of wattage is the 5E3 putting out? And what kind of amp is it modeled after? If none, what kind of sound should I expect from it? I have a 50w amp right now, so if it's more powerful than that, I'd like to strike a deal for the explorer instead. Plus, I also really like my 12-string, so I'm not entirely convinced I should give it up yet... Oh well, make your decision and get back to me whenever you feel like. the 12-string isn't going anywhere.

The 5E3 is a 12 watt amp and it is the same circuit as the Fender Deluxe. Neil Young uses a few of these I believe.

Re: Looking for an Acoustic

Sorry, I've been busy getting a project guitar together as well as all this. I'd be willing to trade the 12-string for the amp and cab directly, if that's okay. If you want additional compensation for the cabinet, I'm short on funds right now, but I should have everything squared away soon. Also, I'd really like to get my hands on that explorer of yours, how much extra cash would you want in addition to the guitar to make that happen? Again, I don't have much, just curious until I sell off some unnecessary stuff.

I am still deciding on the type of guitar I want. I don't mean to lead you on or anything.

PM me with some details on how much you want for the guitar, what you want to spend, etc.
