Looking for an amp that has......

Re: Looking for an amp that has......

Mesa dual rectifier does the trick. Its not exactly the cheapest but its a damn good amp for the money. Especially if you can find a smokin deal on a used one. The Marshall JCM 2000 TSL thas pretty much all that except the crunch and lead channel share a presence, reverb (which the mesa doesn't have), and fx loop knob. If you like reverb and the sound of the marshall better and can live with that, look towards those. I however think the mesa is a better sounding amp though. But those are the two I own and they pretty much fit the bill.

Marshall TSL 100

I thought that the Crunch and Lead shared an EQ?

Oh and can the lead setting handle the new modern heavy shread stuff....distortion wise?

What are you looking for that you can't find in a Dual Recto? Most of the other amps I can think of with three separate EQs are even more expensive (e.g., Diezel Herbert).

FWIW, I'd suggest picking an amp based on tone rather than specs (e.g., three separate EQs). Such things really don't matter as long as you can get all the sounds you want out of the amp. My Soldano Decatone was a great example of how a well-voiced amp can do just fine with shared EQ.

H&K Triamp. 6 channels enough for ya??? The cleans are better than most amps dedicated to it. There are two channels to an EQ, so you have a total of 3 different EQs in one head.
