Looking for good strippers

All right pervs it's not what you think. I can't find a good pair of wire stippers for the small wires on pickups. do you guys know of a good brand or were to get them.

I don't think they make strippers designed for wires that small...or at least, I've never come across any. I just cut the insulation off with wire cutters. It takes some practice to be able to cut the insulation without cutting the wire.

I have a set of self adjusting strippers from Mac tools that i use... they work great on the fine wires... other wise i usually just tap the soldering iron on the wire to melt a small piece of insulation and pull it off with my fingers...

I have one of those sets that has the dual-jaw action. They also have the replaceable blade that has preset holes for different size wire, going down to #26 AWG. As you squeeze the handle, the two sides clamp down on the wire, then move sideways - one side holding the wire, the other side doing a clean "strip". They're the best there is. I'll see if I can find a link and post it.

That one only goes down to #22, but you can get them in any size range. I have two for different size groups.

I use the Klein, like stratsandaks. Picked it up at Home Depot, and it works well.

Radio Shack, Lowes, Home Depot....pretty much anyplace like that you can find a good set.

I have a pair of adjustable ones but I didn't know you can get replacement blades. I will check into that.

I use to use my teeth too, but the last time I did that, she smacked me pretty hard.
