Im looking at purchasing a few JOYO effects for a pedal board Im wanting to build for worship services. What are your opinions on the JOYO line of pedals?

Haha! Awesome response! :lmao:
I've only used a Joyo US Dream which is a copy/similar pedal to the Suhr Riot. I bought a Riot and actually had a hard time deciding which one I liked better. Ultimately decided the Suhr had an edge in every position and pushed the amp more for amazing harmonics.
That being said, the Joyo US Dream was a fraction of the cost and really sounded great with quite a bit of Reverb–cool ambient tones there! I would say if you don't have a lot of funds, the Joyo pedals are a great route to go (to be fair, my opinion is based on just one experience.)
Thats right....I forgot you had one of those at one time....Yeah, Im looking to build a decent Budget board lol....trying to get away from using a processor at times....may actually use both by using an A-B switch though....
Cheap jacks & switches, best for leaving on all the time & permanently positioned on a board. The dc socket is recessed deep on some, gonna need long barrel dc plugs or gonna have to drill the hole bigger on the enclosure for one to fit. The delay pedals are NOT analog but based around a pt80 concept with filters on the output to get dirtier repeats. The flanger though is analog i think. Some of these hiss since the op amps arent low noise, changing those to audio grade ones should help, most of these are smd designs so modding them is near impossible since the pcb traces are weak as well. Overall, cheaply made copies of popular circuits, a step up from behringer though & durable than dano plastic bodies, biyang is also an option to consider along with these.
Totally agree! They only make pedals copies cheaper. This is not another company making clones cheaper (the same components as in original), but installing cheap resistors, caps etc. Interesting fact is that if they put the high quality components they'd be better than original, still with big profit. So, what's the point JOYO ?
Recently I got into contacts with few Chinese and Taiwan companies which make e.g. knobs, switches and after estimated calculation of big amount of components order as Joyo - their cost of making pedals is circa 4$ per one effect.
I really enjoyed my Joyo US Dream but the Suhr Riot beat it in every way through my tube amp–the Joyo could not push the sustain harmonics out unless I tapped for the harmonics, something the Suhr Riot did with ease. Better components would definitely make an improvement–but "better" is pretty subjective. lol

(Metal cases are cool and all, and they provide some shielding, but they don't do much to prevent switches from breaking or pots from going bad.)

I've got Trey's old Joyo(thanx yet again!),it's solid & sounds really good!
One day I'd like to try one of their "heavier" models, but it's a damn fine piece, indeed!!!
Wouldn't hesitate to get another one(or 3),FWIW!!!
