Looking to replace tube in my AVT50 Combo

I'm getting some crackling-type sounds out of my amp when I turn the volume up and down quickly. I'm assuming I need a new tube. What do you guys recommend? (BTW, I put a Vintage 30 in this thing because I'm determined to make it sound good...must...not...give...up...)

I think a JJ ECC803S would sound great in that amp.

But, I think the issue you are dealing with is a dirty volume pot.

Time for some tuner cleaner, or electronics cleaner and lube.

Replacing that tube wouldn't be a bad thing. If you do, tell us how the tube effects the sound. It would be interesting to see how a tube change effects that amp.
