How much do Diezel's go for?

there is a V4 head on EBAY right now for $3200.00...considering the things I have heard I don't think that's out of line!

I would still rather have a VHT or a Bogner...but that's just me...maybe!

Re: Lots of Diezel Amp Rig Pictures!!!

Don't they sell new for around $4000 for the VH4? A little less for the Herbert?

The thing about amps like Diezels, Bogners, and ENGL's is that they've finally refined the art of tube amp technology in the same way that the audio greats Neve and Manley created studio gear that is the pinnacle of perfect sound. All the versatility of a rack type setup with the tone of single channel classic amps, + more.

exactly, i cant possibly think of something sounding better than those amps, they are really the perfect tone... man i wish i had the cash... but also, they really bring out the flaws in your playing, so if you suck, it'll still sound horrible :laugh2:

Re: Lots of Diezel Amp Rig Pictures!!!

I wonder how Diezel would compare to Bogner tonally? Those Diezel heads seem to have 2 more tubes...
I don't know much about Diezel exept that they are pretty rare and expensive.

Isn't it funny how all the good stuff comes from Germany?

Re: Lots of Diezel Amp Rig Pictures!!!

Bogner Ecstasy 101B's and Diezel VH4's stand neck and neck with performance and tone.
Both are basically 'perfectly designed' amps, and both have their strong points.
With the Diezel, you've got to use a midi controller, whereas the Bogner has it's strudy metal 7 button switch. The Bogner's got more ability to tweez every tonal ability out of each of it's 3 channels. The Diezel's got a lot of range, but also gives you 4 separate channels, each with their own EQ, whereas the Bogner's blue and red channel share the same EQ knobs, leaving the clean with it's own EQ and assignable presence controlls. There's really an endless amount of tonal versatility out of both the Bogner and Diezel. That's why they both cost an arm and a leg.

Yeah. I got to test drive a Herbert about a year ago. Very versatile with lots of good sounds...

...but...

...it was too "modern" sounding to my ear. Like the Rivera KH Reverb, Rivera KH2, and the HK Triamp, it has a hard edge that I coudn't dial out. Great amps, all, but none of 'em is for me.

Re: Lots of Diezel Amp Rig Pictures!!!

It takes that much of a rig to make Billy Corgan sound like crap?
