2003 Fender factory color sample AV '52 Reissue in black lacquer finish. Exceedingly rare, non-production Telecaster. Stamped "T" in bridge pickup rout, presumably for "test". This model was not available in black when this was made (and hasn't been for a long time). This guitar was the Grand Prize in fundraiser giveaway on a well-known, international guitar website that year. Near mint condition. Includes tweed case, letter from FMIC. A documented one-of-a-kind production sample from Fender!
$2100

1978 Telecaster Custom. Black finish with maple board. All original and very lightweight for the era at approximately 7.5 lbs. Frets are excellent. A lightweight 70s Custom in black is considered by many to be one of the Tele investments (check out vintage dealer pricing). Original case.
$4000

1977 Telecaster. Natural finish with rosewood board. Great guitar with a great look. Everything's right except what I believe is graphtec or similar nut and saddles, two string ferrules in back of body, and a very cool tortoise guard which is older than the guitar and seems like celluloid. Neck and pots date 77, bridge pickup dates 76. Great finish, with arm wear. Ships in heavy gig bag. Approximately 8 lbs.
$3500

Good luck with your sale. I'd be saying more than "good luck" if I had $2350 sitting around looking bored... That copper tele is delicious.

Wow a copper tele, what a stunner. Good luck with the sale.

I PMd you on TGP. I'll trade you my Sparklecaster for the thinskin 52.

Re: Lots of Telecasters - Copper Nocaster, 52 ThinSkin, Vintage Teles

I like that thin skin but I'm full-up with Teles these days, and empty in the wallet area.

Re: Lots of Telecasters - Copper Nocaster, 52 ThinSkin, Vintage Teles

If I had the money or thought for one second that you'd accept my Les Paul as a trade, I'd be all over this.

Eff the "thin skin" your sparkle rocks. But i would approve of you selling the sparkle and then buying a relic copper nocaster. :fingersx:

Tell me about the thin skin...is a nitro finish? How's it play? Whats the neck like? Heavy or light body? Wear on the frets? Thanks!

OMG *splooge all over new computer that has me broke!*

It is a Limited Edition '52 Reissue that differs from the regular AV '52 RI in that it has a thin, nitro lacquer only finish on the body and neck, larger 6105 frets for better playability, comes wired conventional/modern (B/BN/N), and has a special neckplate. I show the weight as 7.5 lbs, which I consider light for '52 RI. There is no wear on the frets, the guitar is basically as-new. I haven't spent much time with it, but I think it plays good. It's a Tele through and through.
