I've noticed that when I play certain notes, I get a bit of a non musical popping sound from my amp. I've tried playing on my tube amp and modeling amp, and I only seem to get the noise from the tube amp.
It doesn't happen on any particular individual notes, even if I attack hard, but it often starts to happen when I start playing multiple notes in rapid succession higher up the neck. I don't think its sloppy playing either, because it often happens at a time when I know for a fact I made no error.
Could I benefit from using two diodes to suppress transients? That is what I diagnose the issue as, but I'm not electrical expert.
