Love or no love for this Telecaster

Hey Bros.
This Tele is from a good friend of mine, he has modded the heck out of it, so it's just a tele shaped guitar i guess.
The thing is here in Portugal not many people go crazy for it, and he was telling how hard it'll be to sell it, so i told him in the SD forum someone is bound to like it.
Cream123 likes it alot, so there's one already.
Oh any question about the specs, electronic, wiring ask away

So love or no love:

Re: Love or no love for this Telecaster

Not quite..
3 way controls just the 'buckers like on a Les Paul, 1 vol and 1 tone (both master), one toggle switch turns the single on and off the other toggle switches on or off the pickups selected on the 3 way.
Humbuckers are Pearly Gates, scale is ebony, it has contours like a strat for confort.

Scottish try this linky

Don't understand the need for the togle that turns single on and off, why? if you just can hit with the other one ? pick-guard is retarded looking ..... other wise I LOVE IT !!!! if I had the cash would definately be considering and seriously. Looks aged, how old is it?

Re: Love or no love for this Telecaster

I think that's the best looking tele I've ever seen. If I had the cash to buy it, I would. How much is it selling for?

Re: Love or no love for this Telecaster

Forgot to say this:
It's from 1978 made in USA and the middle single coil is a Chandler Classic Strat RW/RP
**** !!!!!! hate being broke now, why is it that at the times when your finances are in the toilet all the best toys come out ???!!!

Re: Love or no love for this Telecaster

I love it . . . although, I'm not crazy about the phallic extension of the pickguard towards the upper horn. But overall, nice.

I don't love the pickguard neither.
He told me the on/off for the middle was so he could have every combination available, personally i would use another wiring.

I think he's is asking about 900€ (that's close to 1200$) + shiping, but i'm certain the price goes down if you ask him.
