Low Output with my SMB-4D Pickup. How can I boost up the output level??

On my dual humbucker Ernie Ball Stingray, the output with the SMB-4D in the bridge position is much lower than the SMB-4A in the neck position. Everything is hooked up to a STC-3M4 tone circuit board using a 5 way super switch.

Is there someway that I can increase the bridge pup output to match the neck pup? There are two trim pots labeled Bass Boost and Mid Cut on the STC-3M4 board, but I believe that they were made for the slap contour feature on the volume knob.

I thought ceramic magnets were supposed to be more punchier and brighter than alnico magnets are? Seems the opposite in my case.

Thanks.

the height of the pup will have a lot to do with how much output it has. you can raise the bridge pup closer to the strings to get more output or lower the neck pup or both.

if you have the bridge pup wired in parallel, you could wire it in series and it will give you more output and a fatter tone
