LP wiring for a tele?

I've been spending a lot of time lately on the Warmoth website, which IMHO is just about like porn for guitar lovers. I was toying with the idea of building a thinline, because I like a semi-hollow sound and Warmoth seems to route a whole lot of wood out or their design.

Because I really like LP style controls, but want to retain the tele look, I was thinking that concentric pots would be a good option. I use the neck facing pots for neck pu volume and tone, while the bridge facing pots would be for the bridge pu. Standard 3-way tele switch. Has anyone tried this configuration, and how do you like concentrics in general?

Right now I'm leaning toward mahogany body w/ walnut top laminat. Little '59 bridge and vintage stack neck. Should be obvious that I like warmer tones with a little HB growl.

Instrument would be used for fairly clean blues and jazz.

i have a similar set-up in a squier tele custom and it's very good; i wire the 2 pickups out of phase together as well (only works when they're at the same volume)
btw... i asked warmoth about something similar a while ago, did you know they'll make a hollow-body with 2 f-holes, rear-routed for controls and their strat neck heel?
i'm just waiting for the AUD to go back up ; ]

Two f-holes would look good, but I noticed that they have a clear finish, front routed, walnut on walnut body in stock. Picturing that with their silver shell pick guard, I think I may be looking for a buyer for a kidney. :1:

I'd be curious to know if anyone has tried a walnut thinline. I also wonder about how much influence the top laminate (vs. body wood) has on tone. When thinking about my options, I have also been thinking about spruce on top. Spruce top over a maple body is a sure fire combo on full hollow bodies, after all.
