LTD EC-300 locking tuners?

Hi, just checking what locking tuner options are available for EC-300? Mainly don’t want to drill holes - drop in would be great. Thank you for your help.

Re: LTD EC-300 locking tuners?

Are those the two pin type? Or single center hole?

Maybe a image

I like Grover , they were drop in replacements for my Martin
Planet Waves autotrim would drop in as well
Both the Grovers and PW have a center line screw
The Grovers are available with the screws in different alignments

My Squires and Ibanez have two close pins and no screw, the Carvin locking tuners were a drop in for those

First, I'd take one off and see what it is. Second, one of the things I really like about my new Caparison are the hipshot tuners. If they fit, you might want to consider them. Most stable tuners I've ever used (and I have/have had MANY)

Re: LTD EC-300 locking tuners?

I'm thinking that the Grover locking Rotomatics with the offset screw tab will probably drop in. I think LTD puts Grovers on the higher end models of the series. Check out the specs for the Grovers on their website and measure the stock tuners accordingly, as best you can, to see if it looks like the Grovers will drop in. Just order from a place with a no hassle return in the event that whatever you buy doesn't drop in and you decide to return them.

Grovers are expensive in black

I think the planet waves that I have, are center screw

But are a gorgeous black

The Kiesel, as mentioned above, are no screw. They have two pins that bite in under the tuner head

Re: LTD EC-300 locking tuners?

I think you're correct - will be buying these. Thank you!

Schallers are really expensive outside of the EU, so I really doubt they'd be used on a lower-priced guitar made in Asia. I'd guess that they're probably Gotoh knock-offs made by Jin-ho. Your best bet for a direct replacement are Grovers, though some Gotohs have a larger headstock ream.

Agreed, although they look more like Wilkinson (which I believe are Jin Ho).

Another possible drop in ...

Those look just like the ones from post #4

Yeah, because they probably are. Jin Ho probably makes them and everyone and their uncle either sells them as their own with no branding or has their own brand name stamped on them.
