Mad set of pickups incoming - What guitar to put them into?

Tonight I'll be the happy owner of the hottest pair of pickups I've ever bought.

An Invader set, baby!

Wondering whether I should put them in my downtuned Les Paul for a huge punching midrange and thick notes on every fret and string, or in my Ibanez which sounds brighter than the LP and is normally tuned to E.

I'm thinking of going all in and put them in my LP. I want it to sound like a sledgehammer. My Ibanez SZ is a bit jack of all trades and I like it that way, it's a bit more detailed sounding in the high-end and I wouldn't want to lose that.

I think the LP would be a fine choice! Let us know how this turns out.

The Invader is definitely a heavy sounding pup. Not sure it's the best choice for a down-tuned guitar. But try it and see what you think. It may be exactly what you want. Let us know what you think after you've had a chance to put it through its paces.

I would recommend the LP guitar. Had a pair of older MJ wounds (Full Shred FSNJ/Invader BJ) in a LP for a while and they were a * perfect * pairing in that particular guitar. Good luck!
