I was wondering which factory in China makes Micheal Kelly Guitars? I ask because i just bought a Hex XT and it is amazing... Great craftsmanship not to mention it was set up perfectly from the warehouse. I heard that its made in the same factory as the B.C. rich but not sure.. any info is helpful.

Re: MADE IN CHINA

I dont know what factory, but the build and all feels MUCH like some of the other big brands out there, so Im pretty certain they are a shared facility. I love my patriot custom!

Re: MADE IN CHINA

By the looks of them, they're pretty much copying LTD and Schecter stuff and ending up with much the same product... if the history of Asian guitar OEMs is anything to go by, expect it to be one of the facilities building for Schecter or LTD.

Re: MADE IN CHINA

Patriot Special here, and two MK Hybrids. The hybrids are nice builds, but the Patriot is something else altogether. Whoever is building these is doing something right.

Re: MADE IN CHINA

Both of my MK guitars are MIK and I'm pretty sure they are produced in the same Korean factory as LTD and Schecter as well as several other guitar makes. Id imagine the same would be for guitars produced in china.

I've looked at several of the Chinese produced MKs and I have a friend who owns a patriot decree which is Chinese made. I couldn't tell a difference between them and my MIK guitars from a fit and finish standpoint at all. They have all looked to be top notch.

Re: MADE IN CHINA

I got no idea about that, but I got a chinese made Hagström Viking DLX12 and it's flippin' flopping' amazing!

Re: MADE IN CHINA

On an Epiphone serial number search the first letter or two letters tells you the factory. You might try that with yours.

Re: MADE IN CHINA

Little known fact: China itself is actually one giant factory. When something says "MADE IN CHINA" it literally means "made in the factory known as China".

Re: MADE IN CHINA

Alittle side note about my MK that impressed me is something Ive Never seen done in any other guitar Ive owned or worked on. When I went into the wiring cavity to change the bridge pup, the wires were all neatly bundled up and ziptied together. What great attention to detail..
