I'm getting ready to order an assortment for experimentation and tone exploration.
Are Seymour's PAF style pickups built with a common magnet size?
If I have an A5 pickup that's too boomy but I want to keep the tight bass, would I go with a UOA5? An A3, A4?
I'm planning on ordering the magnets pre-magnetized. Will the strength of the magnets be a hit and miss guessing game, or will they be "charged" uniformly?
And how about the difference in terms of tone between rough and polished?
