Magnet swap question

Hi guys,

I know this is a Duncan forum, but I was hoping you could help me swap the mag on my Dimarzio Tone Zone. I want to try a Ceramic mag. I'm reading that the Dimarzio mags are thicker than normal. Where can I purchase the correct size?

If this works out I may try messing with some of my Duncan pickups :1: Where can I get the right mags for those?

Do I need to repot the pickup after swapping the mag?

If they aren't the same thickness just measure the thickness and then cut a shim to make up the size difference.

you could post in the trade forum and see if anyone will sell you a mag

duncan mags are just the standard size in most cases. the common 2.4-2.5" ones will do

And no I wouldn't bother repotting. The coils are still potted and that's arguably the most important part.
