Magnet Swaps - Various Pickups

I know this has been discussed her a time or two (or 1000) but I have been pondering some very specific magnet swaps and wondering if maybe anybody has already tried any of these. If so, post back and tell us how it sounded.

Here's a few I have been thinking about:

• Distortion with A5 (is this really a C5 or is it hotter?)

• Distortion with A2 (again, a hotter CC?)

• A2Pro with A5

• JB with ceramic mag (this could be fun)

Distortion w/ A5 = JB
Distortion w/ A2 (and all slot head poles) = Holdsworth
JB w/ (oversized) ceramic = Distortion

The Custom, CC & C5 are all the same pickup with different magnets.

So the Distortion and JB are the same pickups with different mags?

P.S. I think I want to try a Holdsworth

Yup. The Invader is the same too, but with 3 oversized ceramics and the oxide caps.

I wish someone with authority would do a corrective on these things. I've heard more pickup recipes for so many pickups. It is my understanding (and it may be wrong) that the customs are the only pickups that are wound the same.
