The Ant II's have degaussed A5's and likely have less coil windings as evidenced by lower DC resistance. Tone-wise, the Ant II's are a bit darker and lower output with subdued dynamics, as opposed to SSL1's, which are loud and bright, with more aggressive dynamics. The Ant IIs are the more interesting of the two IMO, comparable to boutique pickups from Lollar or Fralin, and yet different than either, where as the SSL-1's have a more fully charged A5 / stock Strat sound, not too far removed from Fender's usual offerings. Of the two, I prefer the Ant IIs.
