I finally got the strat build redone and this is a simple vid showing the tones of the two guitars. thoughts and opinions are welcome. yes my playing sucks.

thanks lestrat. I sit down cold and just compared the two. I love buckers. I havent found a single coil I like yet.

Prefer the strat honestly. it's brighter, more open and more in yo' face.

The JB in the ec1000 sounds a bit muffled, constrained.

Myself I am a sucker for 1H strats but honestly, I think you sound better playing the ec1000.

im more used to the ec1000. still getting used to the 9.5 radius of the strat. still tweaking the setup

I don't get it when people add stuff like "yeah my playing sucks, I know".

What's the backup for then? Would someone so ashamed of their playing really be playing in public in a way the necessitates a backup? Or is it just something everyone says to lower people's expectations to make them sound better or to preemptively get in there before anyone pays them out?

People wouldn't do that here.

That being said, the strat cuts through much better for what you seem to be doing. It's clearer. It really is up to you whether you want the the clearer or darker tone.

I think you should use the guitar which is the most comfortable.

Live, thats going impact your sound more-so than the other variables. A guitar that just your fingers just glide over like butter that you can play anything on backwards in your sleep is what will make you sound like the better guitar player rather than the woods and pickups.

You need a both option. I like the strat for the beginning and the paul for the single note lines. Very cool. What are you playing through?

I said i suck because I literally think I suck. I was in an accident that crushed my wrist and Im just happy to be able to play now. as they said i would never play again. I am playing thru a solid state randall rx75dg2 on channel 2. no effects.
