Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

Those marks look like mic positions.

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

So why would you mike the speaker in the center of the cone? And why would you mike 2 speakers on the same cab? If the cab were stereo, aren't they usually left/right?

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

Possibly 2 different mics?

Sometimes I throw a 57 on the bottom of a quad and an 81 on the top of the cab, Gets the best fo both worlds.

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

Can you even imagine a moron taking a marker or something and doing that? That would be a perfect collectibe, if it wasn't marred like that. Even if it is, it wouldn't be hard to replace all the grillcloth with the exact same kind. If it were done professionally, it would look completely stock. Those amps will never go down in value, so if you can win the auction and pick it up locally, it's a good investment that sounds great.

Anyone here got any ideas on how to hide two 4x12s from a woman? :laugh2:

I suppose those marks must be mic positions, but I can't imagine why they're even necessary. You don't see them on many professionals' cabs. And as for putting them on limited edition gear like that! :yell:

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

I can't understand the point of selling the stack and combo in the same auction either, sure selling separately would almost certainly end up with him getting more money.

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

Agreed. There will inevitably be people who want the combo but not the stack and vice versa. You'd be bound to attract more bids selling them separately.

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

It seems deliberatly aimed at a collector by selling them together.

Re: Marshall Jubilee Full Stack AND Combo on Ebay UK

thats a sweet amp dude !!!! how can they do that **** to that amp!!

I agree....I wouldn't mind having the combo at all...well the stack either...but if I wanted a Jubilee I'd be buying a combo for practicality purposes..too bad he's across the pond AND it's local pickup only... :D

Jubilee-Vox-Matchless.jpg

I've thought of selling mine to make room, but I can't bring myself to do it....it's soooo beautiful! And, it sounds even better. I'll sell it in a decade or two, when the price really hits the roof for a stack in mint condition.

Seriously Simon, how much do you reckon this will go for?
It's hard to say - I've seen some go quite cheaply, and some that haven't sold at all (particularly if they start high). I don't think Jubilees are quite as sought after here as they are in the US. £1200 wouldn't surprise me, but on the other hand there may not be many people looking. There's no reserve, and maybe the mic marks will put some people (like collectors) off. All you can do if you're seriously interested is think hard about what is the most you are willing to pay. If the auction's nearing the end and it hasn't gone over that price just give it a shot. You'd have to venture into Kent to pick 'em up though!

I won't be bidding - can't afford it! I do regular searches for Jubilees though, because I'd quite like to get a top cab to go with these (which I bought for £620 from a shop three years ago):
