A little bit more with a Cab.. or if you want to buy the 60 or 50 watt even less.
FAR better tone. Especially classic Marshall tone.
thanks for the suggestions guys. just checkin out some options for a cheaper but good amp that will power in a band for leads, but not cost me an arm and a leg. tubes aren't a requirement.

IYO ,like I said Talent says it louder than your amp ever could.I don't get people saying that they're not bad for solid states...
They sound like a blow drier only fizzier. Roland, Randall, Vox, and many others completely blow them away, and at a better price point.
The MG series is for people who just want something with the marshall name on it.

Tell that to Muddy Waters. And that's why botique amp makers exist. So that people can get an amp that has enough dynamics to show your talent.
Tell that to Muddy Waters.
I own the 100 watt head, it sounds good to me ,for the price as well
I see alot of ppl on here swear by tubes and diss SS,
IMO those that diss SS are clueless, talent goes far beyond who has a better amp (Tube mongers) Some ppl cannot afford tube amps so SS
are a better choice , Your talent makes you sound good not your Tubes,
you could own the most expensive equipment and stll sound like sucketh
w/o talent, I say buy what you like and can afford , I have for over 30 yrs.
