I'm going to have to play through one... I want to see what this amp can do. Anybody got some good suggestions for good tone in a band situation with this amplifier?

Thanks

Yeah, put it back on the shelf and grab the JCM602TSL sitting beside it!

Just Joshing Around............

One of my buds has the 100, but he mainly keeps it in his bedroom. Chris has been complaining about it ever since he got a chance to take it home and really try to do something with it. He always says he shoulda got one of the TSL combo's instead.

Good Luck with your tone quest, I'm sure you'll find a setting that will suffice.

Re: Marshall MG100DFX Combo Settings

I hate to say it..But Gordon's first statement is fairly spot-on.

I'm a marshall freak, and in my amp search played the Mg100dfx, 50, and 30 several times, and honestly thought they were pretty poor. The old solid state marshall heads from the late 80's sounded much better than these do.

I had a 12 watt mini-stack that absolutely had a phenomenal sound. In fact I believe Billy Gibbons recorded a few songs with that exact little amp (can't 'member the name of the one song, but it was during their late 80's "comeback" and was all over the radio at the time..ahh yes....."My heads in Mississippi").
