Re: Marshall MG100DFX Combo Settings
I hate to say it..But Gordon's first statement is fairly spot-on.
I'm a marshall freak, and in my amp search played the Mg100dfx, 50, and 30 several times, and honestly thought they were pretty poor. The old solid state marshall heads from the late 80's sounded much better than these do.
I had a 12 watt mini-stack that absolutely had a phenomenal sound. In fact I believe Billy Gibbons recorded a few songs with that exact little amp (can't 'member the name of the one song, but it was during their late 80's "comeback" and was all over the radio at the time..ahh yes....."My heads in Mississippi").
