This one has served me well after I got it tweeked in. The factory for some reason runs them really hot on the bias--- just the opposite from what most other makers do. Cooling the bias off and retubeing them with a solid set of premieum tubes REALLY wakes these up. The way they come set up they sound really sterile untill you at least reset the bias. Then they sound more like what you expect to hear from a Marshall. They would have sold a LOT better had marshall set them up right from the factory on the bias. Confuses the heck out of me why they did that but it really hurt the reputation of these amps.
I'm just not playing where I can crank a Marshall halfstack up anymore so---I bought the Super-Sonic.
