Material need for Series/Parallel bass guitar mod

What are some of the basic material need to do a Series/Parallel mod on a P bass?

Because I have a Fender P with SPB-3 pickups and I'm thinking of doing the Series/Parallel mod.

What functionality do you exactly want? Series/Parallel with a switch or what?

Series/Parallel with a switch. What type switch, etc, etc, etc.
