Maxon OD808? Worth $110?

I want a pedal to help overdrive the dirty channel on the peavey, but this is the only pedal the local dude has. If it aint what I wanted, will I be able to get rid of it?

I'm sure you wouldn't have too much problem getting your money back out of that pedal if you're not satisfied. you could post an ad at this forum or do it on ebay, among other options.

IMO, no. They are pretty crappily made inside. They sure do sound good, though.

Id get a cheap TS5 and mod it with the mods posted on this site. You'd be able to buy 2 or 3. Or get 2 TS7s on Ebay.

The Maxon OD-808 is the "first" reissue of the original TS-808!!
They sound great and are well worth the money!
If you don't want to spend the $170. on the Ibanez TS-808 reissue, get the Maxon! It's the same thing!!

I can't speak about the Maxon 808 but the TS 808 really is a nice sounding pedal..It's warm and smooth sounding...I payed $169 for mine but the price was worth it..
