Maxon pedal

I just bought a maxon od-9 overdrive pedal and I am not happy with it. The sound of the pedal is awesome, I just hate that every time I engage the pedal it makes that click noise through the amp. How can I fix this issue and keep the pedal quiet when I use it?

maxons do not normally make any noise. Send it back to the shop as a warranty claim.

if it's 'true bypass', it will make the click noise.

i have the od9, and it doesnt make a pop thru amp. def see what you can do about getting a replacement.

I had an SD-9 from the same series but had no noise issues with the switching.

That is patently NOT TRUE.

Something is not right with that pedal! I've had lots of Maxons and none of em do that; get it replaced/repaired!

I have an OD820 and it doesn't do that. Neither did the OD9 I had before. Everyone is right, you should have it repaired or replaced.

get a OD808 and be DONE with it.
