What could you expect from the 59/Custom Hybrid if you swap in an A8? Does a magnet swap change the overall output of the pickup? I know the 59/Custom Hybrid is moderate (around 11K) and that offers some very nice clarity for my amp, but I don't know how swapping in an A8 would affect it.

I would try this myself, but no money currently ;(

I am by know means an expert on this but from what can tell it will get hotter tighter less dynamics and more low mids. More \m/etal

There has been a lot posted about the C/59 hybrid that would be good for you to read. Do a search and see what has already been said. But briefly, the C8/59 has great mids, good highs that aren't harsh or piercing, and solid bass, and more output. I've tried it and like it alot, but I prefer it with a UOA5 magnet. Just my preference.

I was just curious about how nice the bass response is on the regular 59/Custom Hybrid is and if it is kinda tight? Maybe an A8 is not necessary? I have been reading the pickup is super clear with very nice and powerful lows?
