Mbox 2 digital input problems. Please help.

I have a Focusrite Voicemaster pro. I want to utilize the digital card i have installed on the focusrite to go into the (mbox 2) digital in. I am trying to gain 4 inputs into pro tools. 2 analogue and 2 digital. The focusrite lets you send a line level to the right side of the digital signal. This along with the left side digital signal of the voicemaster preamp gives you 2 digital ins and the mbox has the 2 analogue ins.

I bought an apogee cable and hooked the out of the focusrite to the in of the mbox 2. I went into pro tools and followed all the manuals instructions as well as the input grid in pro tools setup menu. Still no signal. The 48 sampling rate is matched on the focusrite / mbox / pro tools. Still nothing. Does the mbox digital out need to be hooked up to the focusrite word clock connector? I have never used digital ins / outs. I do not see a wordclock connector on my mbox. Heeeeeeeeeeelp!

For anyone with this problem. You have to end up taking the focusrite apart and removing j2 jumper on the digital I/O board. The digital card is set for pro and needs to be set for consumer. You think this info would be on the focusrite site but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! LOL.

How did you ever manage to find that info?!? That's amazing...

I went to the Digidesign site and someone asked a question about consumer vs pro settings on the digital i/o card that comes in focusrites. I opened the voicemaster up and messed with the jumpers as some are on or off depending on what focusrite rack you have. 2+2 and some phillips screwdriver action and the digital signal was happenin. I was freakin out at first as I just bought the voicemaster on ebay last week. Anyhow, IT WORKS!!!
