Measuring Pickup Output

Ok, I've got a multi-meter, but now how do I measure the resistance and peak of my pickups?

to measure the resistance put one lead on the hot pup wire, the other on the ground wire with the meter set to dc resistance. the pup leads must be unsoldered to get an accurate reading.

i dont think you can find the peak with a meter. pretty sure you need a variable frequency signal generator or something like that
