Mechanical bracing for acoustic guitar

I saw an ad for a "Bracebar", it is two pointed metal rods and a plate with tapped holes. When inside the body and screwed together the rods embed into the neck and back block. The plate is slid under the bridge and two screws from the top of the bridge thread into the plate and transfer a lot of the force from the lifting off bridge. Any one know anything about this I can find nothing, anywhere. Help please.

In all honesty, either get an acoustic that has the bracing designed properly in the first place.......or if its an old decent guitar it might be worth re-doing the bracing that has failed.

This is a fix for guitar which developed a huge belly on the top. As i recall i saw it or a similar gadget on the Stew Mac catalog some years ago ...

Exactly, the guitar is a yamaha APX-4-12A acoustic/electric 12 string I picked up at a garage sale for $10.00 because the bridge was pulled mostly off and the top bellied badly. I saw the same ad, and made my own and it works great. Removed and reguled bridge installed rods, drilled two holes in bridge and screwed the bridge to the plate on the rod. New strings, works great, sounds great and yet no hint this ever existed. Thank you for the confirmation.
