Mending a pickup ring

Anybody done it succesfully? In my experience, superglue doesn't work very well unless you've got a sizeable contact surface.
Got a pickup ring that's cracked at the pickup mounting hole. Can't just buy a new one, as its an odd size no longer being made. Will have to special order from across the pond and blah blah blah, can't be arsed.

Glues used for plastic models are the go. Liquid cements like Tenax 7R,Tamiya Plastic Cement and Squadron Plastic Weld will do the job.
If you want to go crazy try M.E.K. (methyl ethyl ketone) but it may just melt the whole thing!

Cheers,PJ

Of course! Hell, how could I miss that? I used to build those damn models when I was a kid.
