whats the difference between the series 1 and series 2 single rectifiers?

Series 2 you get the additional mode on channel two - RAW, VINTAGE, MODERN.

New dials.

Series II is improved in tone over the Series I, plus the extra mode: RAW

To me I can get St. Anger (album) tone in the RAW mode with the gain pushed.

yup thats correct series 2 has an extra mode NOT channel, just so your not confused.....what they said is correct!
