MESA Thiele 1 x 12 cabs - anyone use them?

I keep looking at these cabs and they look super compact and yet Mesa claim they sound huge with a full sound, is this true? What is so special about these cabs?

I had 2 and should never have sold them. Believe the hype mate.. They sound incredible. I used them with my rack setup before I started going direct to desk.

You can build it much cheaper than buying one from Mesa.

Ya - Great form factor.

Slightly larger is the THD cab. In some cases, I think it sounds even better.

Mark IV = Thiele with EV
Plexi = THD.

Yep, but with the EV they can be dark till you turn up pretty loud, not the best bed room/practice cab. I've got a Mesa 1x12 convertable with an EV-12S now, works better for home use.

Well looks like I will have to keep my eyes open again, I just went to get one in mint condition but unsurprisingly it's gone. Thanks for the replies though, at least now I know! :yourock:
