metal combo amps

what would your suggestion be for a 1x12 combo amp for playing mostly metal? are the tech 21's the way to go? my budget is tight..real tight. and with the tech 21's i could always buy a power engine if i wanted something bigger, right? the only problem is i dont know if the tech 21 will get the sound im looking for. I want a Lamb of God sound.

Id be using the agile LP in my sig...invader bridge, jazz neck. and the korg ax1500g for the distortion.

any help?

i think you could be able to score a jcm800 1x12 combo for around 600 on ebay

5. Not a well-known choice, but a TONE MONSTER = Budda Superdrive 18

2 suggestions:
> I would recommend using a good OD pedal in front of any one of these amps.
> I would also suggest you get a combo with a speaker output, so you can use it as a head with a 4x12 cabinet (If you're going to be playing in a band situation, you will quickly run out sonic room with a combo)

I have a rivera chubster 55 1x12. Great amp but you'd need a good OD pedal as Ben said. I am using a modded TS9 but I am getting Banzai Fireball II which comes with a boost fuction.

I am always looking into ebay to get Budda Superdrive 18. Nice lil amp.
